A Kids’ Corner at DBS Bank’s Family Event: Pottery Wheel and Fluid Bears

At family events, the kids’ corner decides how relaxed the parents can be. For a family event with DBS Bank, we ran two hands-on stations for children.
What we ran
Pottery wheel
Children took turns at the pottery wheel, shaping clay with an artist guiding their hands. Even the youngest guests had a go, and the concentration on their faces says it all.
Fluid bears
At the second table, kids squeezed bottles of bright paint over bear figurines and watched the colours run and swirl. No two bears come out the same, and every child takes theirs home.
Why these two work for kids
- Instant wow. Clay rising on the wheel and paint pouring over a bear are both magical to watch.
- No skill needed. The artist guides the hands; the materials do the rest.
- Different paces. The wheel is one-at-a-time and focused; fluid bears handle a crowd.
Tips for a smooth kids’ corner
- Plan a covered area and aprons, because these are wonderfully messy activities.
- Keep a drying table so finished pieces are safe until it is time to go home.
- Have a second activity ready for kids waiting their turn at the wheel.
How a Qreative session runs
- Zero prep for HR: our team arrives before yours, sets up every table and cleans up afterwards.
- An artist leads: every step is demonstrated, so nobody needs to have painted before.
- Everything included: materials, aprons and set-up.
- Everyone takes their piece home.
- Easy paperwork: a GST invoice for every booking, MSME compliant, one point of contact.
Bring it to your event
Wheel pottery sessions start from ₹1,200 per person for corporate groups. Fluid bears are a favourite for family days and kids’ zones.
