Diwali Lanterns, Totes and Painted Pots: In-Store Workshops at IKEA

Diwali Lanterns, Totes and Painted Pots: In-Store Workshops at IKEA

Not every corporate session happens in an office. At IKEA, we ran in-store festive workshops where shoppers of every age could stop, sit down and make something.

What we ran

Diwali lanterns

Colourful paper lanterns (kandils) with tassels in pink, orange, yellow and green. Families made them together and took them home for the festival.

Tote bag painting

Blue patterns on canvas totes, painted at tables set up in the store.

Painted pots

Small pots and cups decorated with bright patterns, perfect for a plant or desk.

What makes in-store workshops different

  • Drop-in flow. People join when they pass by, so stations need short, clear steps.
  • All ages at one table. Activities have to work for a seven-year-old and a seventy-year-old.
  • Visible and inviting. Colourful work-in-progress draws more people in.
  • A reason to stay longer in the store, and a happy memory of the visit.

How a Qreative session runs

  • Zero prep for HR: our team arrives before yours, sets up every table and cleans up afterwards.
  • An artist leads: every step is demonstrated, so nobody needs to have painted before.
  • Everything included: materials, aprons and set-up.
  • Everyone takes their piece home.
  • Easy paperwork: a GST invoice for every booking, MSME compliant, one point of contact.
